Rep. Fred Upton - Too Extreme For Michigan

Voting Record in 110th Congress

Upton voted "NO" to fiscal responsibility and reducing the deficit by voting against pay-as-you-go rules for the House. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House is committed to pay-as-you-go, no new deficit spending and adopted H.Res. 6, Title V, "Adopting the Rules of the House of Representatives for the One Hundred Tenth Congress."

Upton sided with Big Oil and voted "NO" to begin achieving energy independence by rolling back the multi-billion dollar subsidies for Big Oil. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House took action to secure our energy future by passing H.R. 6, "Creating Long-Term Energy Alternatives for the Nation Act."

Upton voted "NO" to making health care more affordable for all Americans by fixing the Medicare prescription drug program. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House began fixing the Medicare prescription drug program and putting seniors first by passing H.R. 4, "Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act."
