Hoekstra voted "NO" to make our nation more secure from terrorists by implementing the recommendations of the independent, bipartisan 9/11 Commission. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House is committed to making our nation more secure from terrorists and adopted H.R. 1, "Implementing the 9/11 Commission Recommendations Act of 2007."
Hoekstra voted "NO" to making health care more affordable for all Americans by fixing the Medicare prescription drug program. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House began fixing the Medicare prescription drug program and putting seniors first by passing H.R. 4, "Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act."
Hoesktra sided with Big Oil and voted "NO" to begin achieving energy independence by rolling back the multi-billion dollar subsidies for Big Oil. Fortunately the Democratic controlled House took action to secure our energy future by passing H.R. 6, "Creating Long-Term Energy Alternatives for the Nation Act."
