Rick Snyder Has Ignored His Stated Agenda, Signed Extreme Legislation
LANSING — The Michigan Democratic Party today launched a website, NotOnMyAgenda.com, devoted to showing the disconnect between Gov. Rick Snyder’s words and his actions, which include signing extreme legislation that attacks women’s rights, undermines collective bargaining and endangers Michigan’s environment.
“As Rick Snyder prepares to deliver his 2013 State of the State speech, we wanted to show how Snyder’s previous statements are completely contrary to what he has done as governor,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer. “Time after time Snyder has claimed things weren’t ‘on his agenda’ — and then he signed them into law anyway. In addition, there are things Snyder has stated were on his agenda, like protecting the environment, that he has abandoned.”
Michigan voters can visit www.notonmyagenda.com for resources on what Snyder has said on the issues — and what he has actually done. Voters can also get involved by signing a pledge to work for new leadership in Lansing, contact Snyder and share their thoughts on social media.
