MDP Calls on Bentivolio to Reject Group Endorsing Akin and Mourdock
LANSING – Eleventh Congressional District GOP candidate Kerry Bentivolio — last week called “conniving,” “dishonest,” and “mentally unstable” by his own brother — has another dubious distinction. He’s supported by the Madison Project, a group that also supports Missouri GOP Senate candidate Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin and Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard “God Intends Pregnancies From Rape” Mourdock.
“We call upon Bentivolio to reject the support of the Madison Project,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer. “Any group that supports extreme, anti-women candidates such as Akin and Mourdock should be told categorically that the views of Akin and Mourdock are unacceptable.”
“Bentivolio’s support by the Madison Project is further proof of his extreme, out-of-the-mainstream views,” said Brewer. “The voters of the 11th District should reject Bentivolio tomorrow.”
