MDP Chair Will Hit the Road to Meet with Local Party Leaders, Candidates
LANSING – Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer will embark on his annual weeklong Northern Michigan and Upper Peninsula winter visit next week.
Brewer will meet with numerous local party leaders and candidates to work toward the MDP’s 2012 election goals of re-electing President Obama and Sen. Debbie Stabenow, taking back the State House and State Supreme Court, and growing the Democratic delegation in Congress.
“This trip is a great opportunity to talk with Democrats and prepare for this fall’s election,” Brewer said. “Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula are important to the Democratic Party. This trip gives me the chance to meet with our Democratic Party leaders and candidates to talk about the 2012 elections. I’m looking forward to working with our members Up North to have a successful 2012.”
Brewer will make stops on his trip in Mackinaw City, St. Ignace, Escanaba, Ontonagon, Ironwood, Houghton-Hancock, Marquette, Munising, Newberry, and Sault St. Marie. The trip kicks off on Monday, January 23rd and concludes on Friday, January 27th.
