Michigan Democratic Party Statement on Presidential Candidate Pledge

“After the New Hampshire Secretary of State announced that he would move up his state’s presidential primary date in violation of the DNC’s rules, the Michigan Democratic Party decided to move up its primary date to January 15th. Democratic presidential candidates should be campaigning in Michigan just as they have been campaigning in New Hampshire. All of the Democratic candidates need to come to Michigan and address issues such as manufacturing, the Great Lakes, fair trade and all of the other issues that are important to Michigan’s citizens.”
